Don't blame tire traction. Traction failed because you steered over loose pebbles. Try it again and avoid that spot. Let's go.
I thought the same thing, but that patch of ground was pretty much the same as the rest of the trail, which is hard pack. I just got to a point where the grade of the slope suddenly increased to about 39%, and that, coupled with the extra hard push on the pedal, caused the tire to slip. Not a lot, but enough to throw me off guard causing me to lurch forward without time to recover. But yeah, I plan to go back and try it again until I make it to the top!

Keep on[e] rolling!!! Did u try to approach it with a considerable momentum and then maintain it? Which tire is it and at which pressure?
Maxxis minion, around 30 PSI or half of the max. Yes, maintaining momentum on a grade that steep, especially on uneven ground makes it very difficult. The tire simply lost traction momentarily when I hit a slightly loose patch.

After doing that test drop and while I was reviewing the footage a security guy drove up in his security car and said that I'd have to stop due to the policy of the property owner.

Thanks Attila. I usually ride long distance with a firm, more flat profile saddle. The one's I have are all discontinued, but you can get either the KH zero or the Nimbus stadium, both of which have a flatter profile.

I recall when you were using a camera on a rope strung between trees. This is perfect for us unicyclists.
Yeah, I made something I called a "Uni Cable Cam" ("UCC") many years ago, in an effort to get tracking footage without the aid of another person. I made lots of videos using it, and still have it. But yeah, this new drone makes it obsolete now.

It's a lot harder as those lower speeds. Plus, it's been a while since riding it on a regular basis, so I'm pretty rusty too. But it's great practice for balance.

Hmmmm
I tried out the dolly track mode (X1 flying in front of you) and encountered some issues. First, I had to mount quickly. Remember, if there's 3 seconds of inactivity, the X1 will come in for a landing. Second, in the landscape video mode, the bottom of my unicycle wheel does not show in the video. Third, when I turned, I needed to slow way down, to give the X1 time to get back in front of me. I guess the dolly track mode is meant for straight line travel. Fourth, when I switched (from riding) to an idle, the X1 apparently couldn't detect my movement and flew straight to me for a landing, forcing me to dismount (and catch the X1).
I used side track for every shot except the first one, which was hover & pan. Using sidetrack, I can hold the drone in front of me and get basically the same as dolly track, but much more stable and far less erratic. I also select "far" for distance and "high" for altitude if I want to get the best full coverage.

Probably the shorter cranks (110mm) that cause much less up/down leg movement and wheel wobble. Also the road conditions, wind, tire type and pressure, optimal seat height, etc. are factors.

@@mikemartinez7306 there's a few, but the two I use are the vee rubber 36er tube and the lightest of them all is the 36er TPU tube.
It's a cool talent and it's impressive, but it just looks so g.. , not today's it's cool to be, like 1990 insulting😂 my son is g.. and I love him just the same, it's just words don't freak out, hate everyone equally aight😂

Thanks, yeah it's been about 18 1/2 years since restarting in late 2005. Sorry to hear you had to stop due to knee issues, which I understand is quite common.
